Merry Christmas!
It’s been a fine year for us and we hope it’s been a good one for you. We’ll have some announcements coming through this newsletter in January - new offerings in the HD footage library, a new website and more, but today, we just want to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
Tracy and Lauren Ready
Until then, here’s some seasonal fun:
Johnson City Lights
A little trip through the Hill Country is always a good thing, and this holiday season is no exception.
In the town of Johnson City, on Hwy 281 north of San Antonio they light up the old Blanco County courthouse on the square with one hundred thousand lights. If you are headed to San Antonio from Dallas this holiday, do yourself a favor and skip I-35. The drive down 281 South has always been one of our favorites, and you can enjoy this beautiful display of light as well. The entire town is in on the act, with millions of lights, a charming small town holiday with plenty of spirit.

Not in Texas but pretty dang cool just the same...
My highly industrious and sometimes whacky brother has a big ol’ houseboat on Lake Chickamauga near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Each year he decks it out for the holidays and pilots it downstream to Chattanooga’s annual holiday river parade. This year he went absolutely bonkers with the lights – all timed to music and with a cute dancing girl on top. But don’t worry, she’s dressed! This is family friendly video fare, and pretty impressive! We shipped him a camera, provided a little direction and postproduction and now here it is! Merry Christmas everyone!
Christmas on the Tiki Tender!

Texas B-roll Stock Footage HD – Not Just Texas Anymore!
Since 2002, TexasB-roll has been supplying professional quality stock footage of Texas cities and themes. Our library is expanding and we have now transitioned to true 1080i High Definition acquisition for all new additions to the library. In addition to Texas locations (every major city in HD) we now offer HD clips shot in several other U.S. states, plus a nice variety of other non-location specific scenes. Over 300 HD clips are now available with new footage added monthly, so please check back often. Still looking for standard definition 4:3 aspect ratio footage? We have it, at drastically reduced rates.

Currently for Trace Elements: Pre-production for full length CD studio sessions coming up in January. Trace is working with good friend Sal Salvador on song demos and arrangements. Sal is an excellent composer, arranger, musician who has recently returned to the Dallas market, after many years of studio production in Nashville. If you need a song demo or custom music for film or video, you can’t go wrong with Sal! More info at http://www.thesongsolution.com/
Plus – there’s now a new act to contend with! The JumpCuts!
That’s Trace singing with Jason Meyers, guitar, vocal and Bruce Clendenin on guitar, vocal, keys, and bass. They’re having fun playing funny, strange, irreverent, sometimes relevant mix of tunes ranging from Americana to classic rock. They’ll open the show for Trace Elements at the next TexasB-roll.com Shindig, coming in March of 2008. More details coming in January… stay tuned.
